Projects

Help spread the word about in-arms parenting and sell our educational products or use them in sharing or teaching about in-arms parenting. For information on becoming an educator: use our contact form
or call us at 1-805-965-4402,
or write to us at PO Box 22506, Santa Barbara, CA 93121.

We prefer to initiate contact with prospective educators by attaching the information to an email. You may also give us a snail mail address if an email contact is not available.

Potential educators, please note:
We have created a new volunteer associate position called a Rebozo Way Educator when we became a 501(c)3 public charity organized for educational purposes, retroactive to fall 2004. You pay a one-time charge of $35 which entitles you to support, and educational materials at a discount and/or for free. Initially you will receive an eductor's packet that includes one copy of the Rebozo Way Video (in VHS or DVD) and a variety of written materials (we will send them in English unless you specify that you prefer Spanish). Shipping costs are covered in the charge for becoming an educator. We are still working out the details but we may ask for a yearly renewal fee that would be $20 or less, and would again include receiving materials from us.
This position is for people who are interested in promoting in-arms parenting, especially traditional ways to wear babies, and the other aspects of our project (birthing, traditional healing, traditional ways of community, and so on). At this point, we envision that each educator relationship will be unique, and we encourage you to give lectures and babywearing demonstrations, classes, and have booths at faires and conferences to promote these ideas. Feel free to use the resources we provide free of charge on our website, including photos and articles, as long as you credit The Rebozo Way Project. We now have a webpage dedicated to listing upcoming conferences and events, and another that features our booth kit.

We also provide discounted prices on our video, The Rebozo Way, and will consider discounts on the other books and videos we offer, although we ourselves buy them as wholesale prices--we are currently working out a variety of packets, combinations of books, videos and written materials, that we can offer to educators. We also have a handout on Publicizing and Promoting the Rebozo Way, which we can email to any educator who is interested. Our goal is to work together to promote what we call The Rebozo Way of Life, for the benefit of all beings in our individual spheres and across the planet.

I've so much enjoyed meeting so many wonderful folks over the years, and expect the richness that is the Rebozo Way Project will only get more so as we diversify our activities and deepen our commitment to "educating through art, images, and stories from cultures that successfully practice in-arms parenting in our modern world." I am very excited about the new possibilities now, and I hope that you are too.
